I find that I go through seasons where I'm hardly working on larger canvas works and mainly working in sketchbooks (that's where I am now) and other seasons where I hardly touch my sketchbook and can't get enough of larger painting
it doesn't have to be a coffee shop - it can be a restaurant or any place where you can just sit and observe - get creative - there's always places where people are around
Love love love catching these short videos via Substack. Behind talent, inspiration I feel is essential to be able to create things you love. Thank you for providing that inspiration!
It always feels like a treat when your mails / vlog pops up in my mailbox. I love this format - colorful tweaks of inspiration which make me grab my sketchbook. Thanks so much for sharing.
Another gift in my inbox, yay! You have a good viewing eye, because you find the most interesting places to sketch. And you make it more interesting in your sketches too. I’m looking forward to see that layering time lapse. I love to watch you sketch and paint, I learn so much from it! Thank you Sandi!🧡🤗
I’m loving this new site and format. The sketchbook videos are so fun! My daughter and I are sketching away and it’s got me back to wanting to paint again. Thank you Sandi for all your hard work and sharing so much with us. We’re loving your landscape class too! 💕 I’m hoping you’ll publish sketchbook books like Emma Carlisle! We’ve been working our way through her books sketching and making them ours- starting to add more things & it’s been so helpful. We’d love to buy your books.🤗
that's definitely the plan soon to start working on selling reproductions of my sketchbooks. i'll be sharing a little about that in this week's youtube video and some changes I'm making to my sketching practice because of it. I LOVE Emma's books - they're treasures to me!
What a fun treat! I’m waiting for my husband at Parlor Doughnuts 🍩☕️and just getting ready to sketch and up popped your video!😃🙌. I agree with all the other posts.... Love the frequency of inspirational videos. Thank you for these! 😁💕
I love how you can so quickly grab notes of a scene. You have such beautiful scenery to inspire you 🥰 I love to sit on my porch and draw the sunset, Kansas has beautiful skies. 😍
I really love your cafe sketch! I love the hanging lights and the detail out the window. I can’t wait to see the time-lapse of your landscape sketch!! 😍
