Thanks Sandi for this peek in your friend’s studio. What a place! Love all your sketches and paintings. My favorite is the last spread. Fabulous portrait and a beautiful rendition of Van Gogh’s sunflowers.❤️
The Studio looks like an amazing space! It’s always a joy to see your sketchbooks. The paintings you’ve sketched are a delight and for some reason, I’m absolutely transfixed by the way you’ve rendered the tablecloth. The colors are really quite beautiful.
I almost signed up for that figure drawing session! Looks fun! I’ve taken several workshops there and they’re always great. She really does host the very best artists from all over the country at her warehouse. They sell out fast!
Thanks for sharing Sandi, it was great to see your friends amazing space. I loved that the man was waiting for his love to arrive 😊. I particularly like the sketch with the blue pencil 😍. The oil painting by your friend, so wonderful! I love seeing in spaces like this it's very inspiring!
How fun! I’ve never created art in a real studio….I’ve also never drawn from life like that…looks like a cool experience! I love how your face lights up each time you mention that you got to take ALL the supplies- makes me chuckle😀
What a great day. I see you had to expand to a second pencil roll. How did you like the new watercolor markers compared to your old Tombows and Ecolines?
What a gorgeous studio space! I love seeing how your multiple sketches and paintings of the same subject differ from each other. It’s really got me thinking about how I collect reference for my own creative practice. Thanks!
My favorite thing in your sketches here is the blue gold window behind the man's head in the sketch you spent the most time on. I'd love to know/see how you created that! I also loved, as you did/do, the last two pages. The portrait of the woman is beautiful!
Thank you Sandi for sharing your friends space and work with us. What really caught my eye were the beautiful sculptures. Are they Plasticine clay? Also, I love both of your painting styles! Very different but both are expressive, and colorful. The portrait and sunflowers you painted “Wowzer! More please💕
I know 😂. One lady made a comment about "oh how cute, you brought your markers and color pencils" 😬

I was checking out that tablecloth, too! Longer than any person should be checking out a tablecloth!!
I couldn’t take my eyes off the tablecloth either. Stunning!
