Neat idea but a bit of plastic with a strap attached to it for $30 ???.... Yeah, no thanks! Im fairly certain if you & your Mom put your heads together Sandi You could make something MUCH BETTER! Cheers!
Here is a thought for sharpening pencils. If you have a coffee cup, save the last couple of sips and sharpen the pencils into the cup. The drop of coffee in the cup will keep the shavings from going every where and then you can just throw it out.
A perfect excuse for you to buy a second one so you can separate your warm and cool colors. Jet pins is a wonderful company to do business with. But watch out, their website is as addictive as Dick Blick!.
Such a neat idea! I can picture you with all your gear spread on your lap in the Doctor's office. You are so brave about creating in peopley places! 😊 I feel like the case would be nice if the case was it was a tad wider.
I always luv your substacks. I know you are a busy lady but I wld luv for you to do more shorts like this. I luv all of them. They are such nice little gifts in between your YouTubes. :):):) How big does the extender go? Like how big of a sketchbook will it fit onto I wonder...
I too found the clear clear one on jet pens and i have shopped with jet pens for about 10 years. I LOVE pens. And they are such a good reliable company. Great customer service too
I was scared to watch this, afraid I’d be tempted to get another pencil case. Lord knows I have a scary amount! LOL! Luckily I I have something like this I bought long ago. It’s not clear but it’s great reminder for me to get it out. I try to carry stuff with me but I end up with too much stuff to juggle. 💖
I love this idea. I have been using a pop up cylinder pencil case. It is a wonderful accessory for when I got out sketching and it sits flat like a cup. I usually have an assortment of pencils, markers, etc in it. I can also put in my pencil sharpener in a plastic baggie for collecting the shavings. I found mine on Amazon for $8 - I also have 2 more than hold my color pencils, divided by warm and cool colors. I switch out colors and materials depending upon where I am going sketching. The brand I bought is Sooez (Pop Up Pencil Case). As always thank you for sharing your sketch book and materials. You have helped me develop a more consistent sketching practice.
Thanks for sharing new ideas with us! I could see myself using it for having on top of the left page while painting on the right side, if you know what I mean.
Personally I would just attach a rubber band on an existing case... if you can sew it's not that difficult. Have a good day!
I do have a bit of a pencil case wandering eye. I love the idea of this one and agree there's a HUMONGOUS difference between the sepia-clear and clear. Like going to the eye doctor and they hand you sunglasses. "But I ordered glasses." "These are glasses." "But they're sunglasses." "Sunglasses are glasses." "But I ordered GLASSES." "You got glasses. I don't see the issue." 🙀
Not that I condone everything on Temu or Ali express, but they do you have these on there for about five dollars and as you know most of the time they have free shipping so you can get a few other things at the same time. I thought it was quite expensive for what it was. Also a very good idea, this is something you could do very easily with a small pencil case, and just attach an elastic strap to it
the company that makes that is Midori. It's so cute! I kinda like the sepia but the clear would be better to see inside better.
Yes, that's why I wanted the clear clear

you're probably right!
it's actually made really really well though

😆

Emily this made me laugh!!! I almost didn't share this video because of that - I definitely don't want to be tempting people, you know?!?!
I get it! It’s not your fault I have little impulse control with art supplies. I’m trying to be better about using what I have. 🤣
trust me - I totally hear ya!

This has nothing to do with art, but you are adorable. <3
Hi Sandi
I really enjoyed seeing your dream owl painting, will you show more please?
I am entering two of my dream paintings into an art show, things we get in dreams are fascinating and helpful for ourselves and others.❤️

yesssssssssss that's exactly right!
but free is also nice 😂
You could roll up a snack size ziplock to hold the sharpener and shavings and then your case will stay clean-just an idea
That’s a great idea!
