I love the water in the one that you called a duck party. Such depth and amazing color in that water! In preparation for Friday's video, I went through photos of my mom when she was a young woman. I painted one and it turned out so good!! I'm really psyched about painting more family photos.
Awesome Sandi! I so love your landscapes and well everything else. The looseness of the ducks and still-lifes...so wonderful.
I look forward to the coming family pictures video. I have a large crate of them and I would like to temper some of the feelings they inspire. I think painting and sketching from them as well as combining elements from different photos would be really helpful to me in my recovery.
Thank you so very much Sandi for your openness and free spirited sharing.
I love these!!! When you mentioned family photo sketching earlier I had just received a couple oldies of my grandparents at their tavern with my newlywed mom n dad. I plan to do some studies with it. Deja vous when you were on the same path!!! I'll try to start before I see yours but I know you'll be so inspiring-- like w your grandma's house
So fun to see them all together. Lots of great work. My favorite was the last one with the ducks and I really liked the sky. Can't wait for this Friday's video.
I love to see how you are working on themes. Those monochromatic blue ducks are just lovely! I can just imagine a full line of pottery with those on. And of course, the last two live model faces are just striking. I mean I love all your work, but these were my joy-filled faves.
Favorite Sketches From February
Omg! That first painting with the table! LOVE!!
I have also been drawing from family photos! I'm so excited to see how you interpret yours!

Ps-- I just sold my first 2 paintings -- both inspired by your taking notes in the landscape class
So inspirational, thank you so much for sharing, Sandi!
Excited for more on Friday! 😍😍
Beautiful work, Sandi. I love how much texture and movement you seem to capture in your art, a real feast for the eyes.
Gosh Sandi, all of these are just so inspiring! I particularly LOVE the table scene with that gorgeous green background. The colours just pop!
Nice work.

These are wonderful always so inspiring, thanks for sharing, especially love the ducks! They certainly look like fun and put a smile on my face! 😁
I love the coffee shop composition that has the "jackalope". Also the blue ducks. Just lovely.
