I posted a quick flip through of my work from the weekend over on Instagram but wanted to share a little more about the work I did here since it’s so varied. I painted a lot from Emma Carlisle’s Patreon which I love to pull up when I don’t have something particular I’m itching to paint or sketch. It’s a way to keep my hands moving and stretch me with what I’m sketching.
We also took advantage of a beautiful warm winter day and went to the park. I sketched and Grady walked. It wasn’t the most relaxing setting… a guy with his van blasting music, a lady smoking next to me and a large group of kids practicing screaming as loudly as they possibly could 🤪 but it was still pretty nice and I was quite happy with my sketches. I’m itching to get them out and paint from them this week!
And I really loved bombarding Grady’s home office to sketch him. I’m probably going to make this a normal practice. It was nice - it was like we were together but both doing things we wanted/needed to be doing, so we still got to spend time together when we normally would have been in separate rooms. Hope you enjoyed this!
